sometimes i really miss LA.  there exists an industrial, gritty texture to the cityscape that i don’t feel in sf.  its inhabitants subsist on the cultures of their microcommunities, on the smaller pods of energies vibrating within the heartbeat of one vast county.  the city isn’t for everyone - she won’t love you if you don’t love her back.  hell i don’t think she really even cares.  do what you will cuz everyone is doing their drug of choice and not judging you for it.  be it plastic surgery, alcohol, or ignorance. apathy, the almighty dollar, or suburbia.  LA will shine in spite of/or/because of its sins.  it’s refreshing to know.
